Production Employee (Assistant Operator)

As Production Employee (Assistant Operator) you have a great sense of responsibility and you ensure that our production process runs smoothly. You work along actively, are able to look ahead in your work and support the operators with ease. You have a proactive attitude and can decide independently when to pass on duties, and you work together well with your team. Place in the organisation

  • Reports to the Tufting Production Manager.
  • Works together in a small team of colleagues (4-5) and supports the operators.

Main duties, responsibilities and authorities

Result area includes:

  • Yarn Management: Setting up batches and samples, and correctly placing yarn cones. Correctly gluing and/or tying the yarn.
  • Control: Checking for cutting and removing yarn remnants, and releasing ‘Yarn cards’.
  • Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues in collaboration with other operators.
  • Protocols and Procedures: Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, including cleaning and turning off lights and machines.
  • Collaboration: Assisting colleagues with tasks and guiding/supporting new work preparers.

Your profile

  • Knowledge of the manufacture of products. This may be in various areas: technology, creativity, design or craft.
  • Proactive and practical attitude.
  • Accurate and responsible.
  • Eager to learn and motivated to add improvements to the production process.
  • You enjoy working together with others.
  • You have proper command of the Dutch and/or English language orally and in writing.
  • A diploma at MBO (senior secondary vocational education) level would be preferred, but is not necessary

Development

  • An excellent Production Employee (Assistant Operator) is eager to learn about the use of machinery.
  • Is a true team player.
  • Passes on duties proactively and coordinates further steps with operators.
  • Increases technical knowledge of machinery and applies such knowledge to the work.
